Anti-Spam Policy
Associations are communities. Mail that reaches people who never joined or never asked for it damages the community it claims to speak for. On our systems it is not allowed, and it ends the cooperation.
Principles
- We send on behalf of associations to their members and to confirmed newsletter subscribers, nobody else.
- Each association's list is kept separately; we never merge lists, not even of associations in the same umbrella body.
- Addresses from event registrations, raffles or sponsors are not added without the person's explicit agreement.
- New associations tell us how their list came about before the first mailing; we note it.
Not permitted
- Writing to former members after they have left, other than to settle the resignation.
- Using a membership list to promote a third party's offer.
- Concealing which association is sending.
- Newsletter unsubscribes that are not honoured promptly.
After a report
- We confirm the report and determine from the headers which association and which mailing it concerns.
- Where the report seems well founded, further sending of that mailing is stopped while we examine it.
- A confirmed breach ends our service for the association; the reporting address is excluded from future mail.
- Blocklist operators may request the relevant facts at the contact address.
Reporting unwanted mail
Please forward the message with its full headers to the address below. That tells us exactly which list it came from.
